A glamorous reception at businesswoman Angela Mahler's mansion attracts high society: businessmen, powerful women, and bons vivants looking for some fun. Unexpectedly, a body is found in the pool and what was a party, becomes a crime scene. Thus begins a frantic hunt for the murderer. Trapped inside the house and in the investigators' crosshairs, all the guests are suspects. The story occurs over a 24-hour period in a web of suspense, ambition, ulterior motive and uncontrollable passion.

Tati is in love with Marcelo, a guy who enjoys dating lots of girls. Honest to a fault, Tati wears her heart on her sleeve, but her intense affection only drives Marcelo further away. After attending a lecture by a young biology professor named Conrado, she decides to put his controversial theories into practice in her own love life. Conrado has developed a scientific guide to seduction, inspired by Charles Darwin's theories, comparing the dating behaviour of young people to that of animals in nature. Tati becomes his eager test subject. At first, the experiment seems to be working: Marcelo is showing interest again. But things take an unexpected turn when real feelings begin to spark between the professor and the student.

After breaking up, Daniel and Julia decided that the best thing for their son - Thomaz - was to live with his father. The family was not in trouble with this deal, until the day Thomaz began to be harassed at school, bullied by living alone with his father and by being different from his friends of divorced parents living with his mother. By asking his father why he was not like his friends, the boy triggers not only a crisis of masculinity in Daniel but also in the relationship of the former couple.
