The second film in the season trilogy of director Anu-Laura Tuttelberg, who is dedicated to puppet animation. The familiar porcelain characters from the first part of the trilogy "Winter in the Rainforest" reappear in the setting of wintery Nordic nature.

It’s feels like a vision of a pilgrimage gone south. Desperately looking for the gate in the forgotten lands where only military planes dare to fy. By using gouache painting and their digital processing, animation artist Francesco Rosso imagines two monks rehearsing, fnding perfect pitch which fows through walls and fences, despite their layers. The impulse for this animation comes from an existing musical composition by Karl Saks who recorded Buddhist monks chanting while on a trip to China.

A monk goes through his present and past life, constantly bouncing between desire and denial. His life in the monastery and later in the city evolves around looping patterns, coincidences and unavoidable consequences.

Experimental abstract animation based on "Liivaterade Raamat" composed by Liis Viira. This short film is improvised by animating in stop-motion different objects through optical lenses.
