In the stark Labrador interior, a growing number of Filipino workers have recently landed in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, travelling halfway around the world for jobs they hope will offer their families new opportunities and a better life. Becoming Labrador follows a handful of them as they make a place for themselves in Labrador while dealing with the unexpected costs of living far from their family.

Inspired by the late poet Al Pittman's 'March Hare' late winter music and literary celebrations, director Barbara Doran-along with a clutch of her close friends, associates and artistic collaborators from St. John's and the rest of the Rock-travel to Dublin to examine the close cultural relationships between Newfoundland and Ireland in this boisterous documentary film.

54 Hours is a remarkably vivid account of the 1914 tragedy in which 132 men were stranded on the ice during a severe snowstorm off the coast of Newfoundland. Seventy-eight men froze to death on the ice pack.

This feature film uses Michael Crummey's seminal piece of Newfoundland literature to examine cultural change and modern relationships.
