Directing
In the early 1970s in Morocco, Driss was assigned to Khouribga to reinforce the police force. In this city, his mission will become arresting activists. At the same time, he will meet Cheikh Errouhani and his companion Chikha Ezzouhra who will introduce him to the musical art of El Aita, the importance of wisdom and fidelity.
The film restores the usual atmosphere created by the fans during clasicos Barca vs Reak. The story takes place in popular district, where a powerful barbu(Boulahwajeb), leads a hunt for the barca fans. Sample of all the arenas of a wrestling, a real battle and a squabble that rarely stops ans knows its apogee at the approach of each classico.
Najat, a young Moroccan woman, once met the French director Jacques Doillon and was casted in his film Raja for which she won the awards of Best Actress at both Venice Film Festival and Marrakech Film Festival. Raja Bent El Mellah is a film about the backside of fame and the inequality of the world.
Brahim comes from nowhere. He arrives in a village and presents himself "I am a slave for sale," he says. But, for these villagers, the thing is unacceptable.
