The beginning of the 90's. Lithuania just became independent, so there is a lot of chaos in political, ecnomical and criminal structures. The every day life more or less is being controlled by the criminal gangs, who feel indestructible by the fear of citizens and the helplessness of government.

„Wild nineties“ touched almost all Lithuanian cities. Biržai was no exception. This rather powerful criminal group controlled the marketplaces, racketeed local businessmen and farmers, and tried to implement all the illegal enrichment schemes popular at the time

Frigid winter in a war-devastated, present-day city. Several years have passed since the destruction, and the city is slowly rebuilding. A thirty-year-old guy is living as a squatter in an apartment with a group of strangers. He struggles to survive and also to find a little more comfort in this rough setting. One night he nearly burns the flat down, hoping for a warmer sleep. His roommates start hating him, so the guy has to find another shelter.

Soviet Lithuania in 1972. A young theatre actress is trying to make a difference and tell the forbidden story of repression in a play.
