Biography
Andrej Kolencik, nicknamed Admiral is a film director and a visual artist. At present he ́s working as a freelance film director of fiction, documentary and also animation films. In 2014 he was selected for Berlinale Talents. In 2015 he started his own production company called Admiral Films. Films he directed have been awarded at several international film festivals (eg. Golden Egg at the Kunstendorf film festival in Serbia), but also at home (“Slovak Oscar” Sun in the Net Award) as well selected to such festivals as Palm Springs Short fest, Atlanta Film Festival, Cinequest, Guanajuato International Film Festival, İzmir International Short Film Festival, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, DOXA Documentary Film Festival, Riga IFF, and many more.

The film tells about a small museum, where the economic boom has not yet arrived. It appears as if time has stopped in this national museum, a museum which should serve as a show window for Slovakia. Stuffed animals are covered with dust and the three employees working as caretakers of the huge building look like the museum exhibits themselves.

A drug-addicted punk, Kwicka, lives with his companion and son in a dilapidated sublet. His alternative way of life collides with harsh reality when he receives a letter from social services warning that his child will be taken away. Kwicka tries to make things right, but his impulsive behaviour turns his rescue efforts into a free fall.
