The premise of the series revolves around the daily lives of different couples of all ages from 20 to 65, but who are not connected to each other. Each couple has their own space where they live, while the story of each couple in each episode is not connected to the stories of the other couples.

Istanbul police commissioner Mehmet Özakin is in charge of serious crime, mainly murder investigations, mostly in the Turkish metropolis. A very modern Turk, he uses up to date Western methods, without prejudice, assisted by bachelor Mustafa Tombul. Even his private life is progressive, his wife Sevim being on the former imperial capital's university staff.

Three separate narratives each following a love story between a foreigner and a Greek. Each story represents a different generation falling in love during a time of socioeconomic turmoil that dominates Southern Europe as a whole, only to connect as a single story in the end.

A corpse symbolically placed on the border line of the bridge that connects Greece with Turkey, forces the Greek police officer Sofia Bakalis and the Turkish Kenan Karaman to undertake the case of the unusual murder. Very quickly, the two police officers realize that things are not so simple. Unsuspecting of the political forces involved and trying to solve the case, Sophia and Kenan will be in mortal danger, as the perpetrators do everything to hide an explosive secret. However, the price of the truth is much higher than they imagine, with its revelation threatening to lead even to a Greek-Turkish conflict. In the end, Sophia and Kenan will be asked to decide what matters most: their task or their life.
