Biography
Malak Maatoug was born in Solingen, Germany in 1987. Through his German mother and his Tunisian father, he grew up between these two countries and cultures. He alternated studies of philosophy, art and humanities in Berlin, Paris and Dusseldorf, with differents jobs and travels around the world. In 2015, he worked on Jean-Gabriel Periot's feature documentary UNE JEUNESSE ALLEMANDE (2015). In 2017 he began a film research work between Portugal, France and Germany.
