Thirteen-year-old Mariam lives with her father, Rezo, in the poor slums of Tbilisi. They share a one room shack. Mariam and Rezo are barely making a living, being forced to steal at times. Along with the struggle against poverty, Mariam also has to deal with the facts of becoming a woman and the fear that her father would betray her in order to make money.

After accidentally wandering onto someone's property, a simple young man is taken hostage for a ransom of a hundred dollars by two cousins.

Akaki is a school teacher. He unexpectedly becomes an inheritor of a dying billionaire, who sold his assets around the world and returned to his homeland, Georgia. Akaki promises him to become a philanthropist. Anonymously he starts reaching out to different people and funding either their medical needs or different charity organizations. He feels his lifetime won't be enough to help all the people in the world. And his religious background makes him confident - the end is near. Ultimately he believes - "Maybe there will be no Apocalypse, there is still hope for the future, as long as we do good things for each other".

Makho, living in a small village in Georgia is eager to continue the family tradition and dreams to become a falconer, like his grandfather. He spends most of his time with the best friend - hawk Emily, which he trained himself.
