Many years ago, on a faraway island, there lived a Sun Duck who protected his flock from evil powers. The Sun Duck had his loyal guardians who made sure the Sun evenly spread its energy on their flourishing land. The bliss continued until an Evil Witch learned of the Sun Duck's superpowers. She seized the guardians and stole the Sun Duck away for the only sake every living woman would understand: eternal youth and mesmerizing beauty. Today, nobody believes in old legends. Mandarin ducks peacefully reside on their island and abide by the law that prescribes "no flying on the island" and "never leave the island". The Emperor is the only one who knows that the legend is true and that the next generation Sun Duck has been born. He keeps it in strict secrecy, but the Witch also knows that the legend is true and she is coming back for her next victim.

The beautiful Sonya, the leading actress of the provincial theater, comes to Moscow. She is thirty years old and she understands that she does not have much time to realize her dream and become a real star. After another unsuccessful test, Sonya falls asleep in one of the Mosfilm pavilions, since she has nowhere to live. When the security guard tries to force her out of the film studio, Masha comes to her aid. Masha, at twenty-eight, is in no hurry. After graduating from the theater school, Masha recovered and does not feel confident in her body. Having chosen the position “my body is my business”, Masha finds herself in the safe world of cartoon voice acting. Masha is kind, with a good sense of humor.

That's just the way this world works: as children, we encounter death for the first time, when our grandparents pass away. Memories of them remain, memories that grow brighter, clearer, and more life-saving with each passing year. Their cozy, unhurried stories, warm kitchens, and truly special friendships. Sometimes I mentally consult them when I have to make choices. What would Grandma say? "Don't sweat the small stuff. Everything can be fixed, except death..." But what if that, too, can be fixed? It sounds like a fairy tale, but Grandma always had a story for every topic. What if I created a world in which I didn't let her leave me?
