During World War II, the Frenchman Léon Garros and Boris Vaganov escape from the Nazi concentration camp. After 15 years, Léon, who became a journalist, and his friends came to the USSR to make a report and find Boris in the meantime. In Moscow he doesn't found, and for the sake of meeting with a friend, Garros has to travel around the country by car... The foreigners are accompanied by Nikolai, the translator, who, in turn, is looking for his brother's runaway bride, Natasha.

The most famous work of the remarkable classic of Finnish literature Hella Wuolijoki is the saga of the Niskavuori family, consisting of five plays. The first of them, *"The Young Mistress of Niskavuori"*, which reflects the Finnish national character, tells the story of love, changes in life, disappointments, and views on morality through the eyes of straightforward, stubborn people from the countryside who must adapt to new circumstances. The action takes place in 1880.

A wise and 'humane' fable-parable, in which the most important things are spoken of simply and deeply: friendship and love, duty and loyalty, beauty and intolerance of evil.

The young couple, Alla and Robert, are planning to go to work in Norilsk for five years. Alla decides to leave the children with their grandmothers, but faces their resistance. The grandmothers believe that parents should raise their own children.
