They were framed by Liu Xin's classmate, Fang Wei. Liu Xin was tortured and died tragically; Yu Ping took her child, Jingjing, who inherited the music gene of the couple. Li Dunhou, the chief violinist, who was 'sent down,' becomes enamored with Jingjing's talent and persuades Yu Ping to let the child learn music.
