At the end of September 2023, several people went into the forest to make a film about the end of the world. They lived in tents for ten days as the cold weather approached. Each person came up with a character. How would they like to meet the end? What scares them and what can give them hope? Collective life in difficult conditions led to the stories intersecting and the boundaries between people and characters disappearing.

Each of my trips to the village is a ritual of memory. In walks to your favorite places, in landscapes and in people, you always try to find images from your childhood and remember those who no longer exist. Memory is fragile, but that's all we have.

In the early 90s, a company of young artists discovered the possibilities of video. Unlike film, which was expensive and required complex development, the video could be viewed immediately. Before that, in the history of mankind, it was impossible to get your copy (media copy) so quickly. They filmed everything in a row: their art events, parties, just life. Sometimes they became the heroes of TV reports, so that their lives and destinies are intertwined in the media space with what is happening in the country and the world, creating an endless meta film. This is the story of the Great Digital Revolution of the 90s, which forever changed our heroes and the whole world.

The first film project of the V – A – C Foundation film almanac “Dreams in the Area” consists of 13 works by various authors and is compiled as a single kaleidoscope of urban life. The main theme of creative comprehension for the workshop participants was personal dreams and collective urban myths. Intertwined with each other, the plots of individual short films are combined into a single narrative field, combining meanings and images in a bizarre manner.
