Biography
David Bascombe (or Dave Bascombe) is an English producer. He learned the studio trades on the job and gained a solid reputation with the Tears for Fears album Songs from the Big Chair , which he co-produced with Chris Hughes . The English group called on him again for their album The Seeds of Love in 1989 (album containing Sowing the Seeds of Love ), revealing a production work close to that of the Beatles albums ) David Bascombe has also produced Depeche Mode 's Music for the Masses , Echo and the Bunnymen , Peter Gabriel 's So , Human League 's Octopus , Suede 's Coming Up , Erasure 's Chorus and Other People's Songs , as well as Oleta Adams and The Verve , and mixed Indochine 's Alice & June album . He collaborated on numerous occasions with artists from the Mute label .
