Raka is a final-year student frustrated by the constant rejection of his thesis by his lecturers. Sekar, his college friend, suggests that his thesis explore the world of shamanism. Meanwhile, Mbah Djambrong is a legendary and eccentric shaman from Kalimati, a remote village renowned for its supernatural traditions, holding mysteries about humanity's relationship with the mystical and spiritual world.

People in a small village try to get rich by winning the lottery. Short on luck, they attempt to enlist the help of evil spirits by stealing their tombstones, and only offering to return them for the correct lottery numbers. But playing with the dead comes with consequences - which throw the village into chaos.
