Leontientje, the Parisian niece of an East Flemish farming family, comes to stay. Aunt Zeunia is dying and has asked for her. Her visit completely disrupts life on the farm. Sammy’ is a monologue by Alex Wilequet based on the 1963 film ‘The Small World of Sammy Lee’, adapted by the Dutch writer and poet Jan Willem Hofstra and directed by Dré Poppe, a Flemish theatre director who worked for the Flemish B.R.T. for a long time after the launch of television in Belgium.
