Her uncle linked her to the National Liberation Front (FLN). A series of events illustrate Jamila's participation in resistance operations against the occupier before she was finally captured and tortured. Finally, despite the efforts of her French lawyer, Jamila is sentenced to death...

Attia (Yehia al-Fakharani) works as a simple employee, after his mother-in-law threatens to break his engagement from her daughter because of his delay in getting an apartment. He travels to his hometown to sell his inheritance. There he falls in love with Kharyia (Leila Alawi) daughter of Kamal Bey (Farid Shawki) who bought his land.

There is another husband who falls in love with the maid and wants to get close to her very much, but he is afraid for his reputation, so he treats her very harshly and harasses her. There is the shy young man who falls in love with her. He falls in love with his neighbor, but she is not convinced by him because of his great shyness.

The film revolves around a girl who tries to commit suicide because of her family's torture, but another person comes to save her from death. She goes with him to his house and tells him how cruel her family is to her. He tries to reconcile between her and her family, but he gets into trouble with her family and decides to marry the girl.
