Ismail El Ghandoor works as a stuntman and a small time actor in movies. He falls in love with a young belly dancer, Soheir who dreams of being the wife of a pilot. Ismail dresses up in his brother Hussein’s clothes as a pilot in the force while his brother is away on his honeymoon. When Hussein returns the truth is revealed, and each of them goes back to his real job. Will Soheir accept the real Ismail or will she continue to pursue her dream of marrying a pilot?

In Egypt forties and before the 14th of July revolution in 1952, a poor family lives in a prince's palace where the father works as a gardener. The family has two children Ali and Hassan. Ali grows up liking the prince's daughter who loves him too. Now grown ups, they realize how impossible this love story is. Joining the army, Ali fights in Palestine while the brother joins the police and is part of the King's guards. Ali gets back from Palestine and joins the secret military movement that will soon rule Egypt, The Free Officers. The revolution starts and the Free Officers are now in charge, putting Ali against his brother as a guard for the king and also against his lover, the prince's daughter as the revolution will confiscate all her family's wealth.

Aziza and her husband Abdullah are both day laborers who work on various farms. When Aziza is brutally raped by a guard while she is picking potatoes in a field, she tries to hide the pregnancy and plans to kill the baby once it is born.

Ismail sends his sick son and wife to Alexandria and continues his work with the movie star Sawsan as a hairdresser. As Sawsan reports her lover Abbas to the police after a dispute with him, Ismail comes to her house and discovers her body.

Hemaidah is a Farmer who hates country life. He hates working in fields and taking care of the animals in his farm. Though unsatisfied with her, he marries Zebeidah, a woman in the same village.

A young employee prepares to travel to Alexandria to work as a singer in one of its clubs, but his friends take him to Ras El Bar, and in the summer resort he meets a young woman who made him stop traveling, as he caught a cold while trying to save her from drowning. She had pretended that she was about to drown, and a very fast love developed between them. And her uncle sees them.

On the wedding night of the girl he raised, the singer (Wahid) recalls memories of his love for her mother, whom he loved at the beginning of his life and wanted to marry, but her father refused because of the social difference between them, and after one of her visits to him, his friend offered to give her a ride, she accepted and became involved with him after he seduces her.

Ahmed likes Fatima, and feelings of love grow between the two, imagining that they are from noble families. A love story develops, and Ahmed asks Fatima to marry him. After the wedding, they have a son named Samir. One day, Fatima goes to visit Suad at her home, but the police raid the place because it is suspicious. Fatima is arrested, and her life is turned upside down.
