Hilário Pestana, the most famous, funniest and, ironically, saddest Brazilian actor, has died. He has passed through many stages of Brazilian cinema: the chanchadas, the Vera Cruz classics, the pornochanchadas, and even experimental movies. He was beloved by the public and had a gift for laughter, but he only desired to be a serious man.
Metro station. The tracks creak before we hear the sound of the train arriving. The wagons introduce themselves, one by one, as the train starts to brake. Amongst the hundreds of people it brings, there’s a boy with a backpack. Following his trajectory, we witness an initiation.
In 1987, Brazil was goin through a serious economic crisis. In this context, the Brazilian Football Confederation announces that it doesn’t have the resources to finance that year's Championship. The main clubs in the country then decide to organize an independent competition. It was the beginning of a war that still echoes today.
