Biography
Born and raised in Durban, Lwazi Mvusi moved to Johannesburg to study film at AFDA. Then she went on to do her Honours in Creative Writing at the University of the Witwatersrand and then a Master of Arts degree in Film at Wits. She mostly worked as a writer for television and made a short film with the NFVF’S Women in Film slate, THE STATE (2013). Her first feature film FAREWELL ELLA BELLA premiered in competition at the Zanzibar International Film Festival and Durban International Film Festival.
