Biography
Sam Gold is a theater director and actor. He has directed both musicals and plays, on Broadway and Off-Broadway. He won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Fun Home. He's currently working on a film adaptation he's set to direct, of Fun Home, which will be co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, who's producing it as well.
