Biography
Lasse Liemola is a Finnish singer. He's known to be one of the first Finnish teen idols. Liemola began his career in the late 1950s with his single "Sininen kuu" / "Kadun aurinkoisella puolella" ("Blue Moon" / "On the Sunny Side of the Street"). He also starred in films such as Iskelmäketju (1959), Nuoruus vauhdissa (1961) and Onnelliset leikit (1964). Liemola quit his music career in 1966, after being involved in a car crash due to which he was hospitalized for 1,5 months. Then he went to study economics.

Laila and Lasse are two teenagers dreaming about careers as singers. Lasse's brother Rami dreams about motorbike racing and dates a pretty blond Anjukka. Her father works in the hot new field of TV advertising, which might be a good route to stardom for Laila and Lasse. But then Anjukka sets her eyes on Lasse and Rami sets his on Laila, and many a popular hit melody is sung in between.
Nuoruus vauhdissa

A film in two episodes. The first, "Juulia", is a young woman's stylish reminiscence of her brief summer romance, set in some of the most chic design locations around Helsinki. The second episode "Tikku", a seemingly semi-improvised comedy, takes an overworked housewife, her three children and her lazy husband out of the city to spend the weekend at the mother-in-law's.
