Zrezivělá krása

Live broadcast of the gala concert of the best Ostrava musical production... The festive concert is a reminder of the last 10 years of the Ostrava musical. In 2010, the originally operetta ensemble of the Moravian-Silesian National Theater became an operetta/musical ensemble, and it was the musical that gained a dominant position in its repertoire. The concert will present a cross-section of important titles that the musical scene had in its repertoire over the entire ten-year period. In a live broadcast, it will offer the audience unforgettable songs from the most famous musical productions performed by Hana Fialová, Martina Vlčková, Michaela Horká, Patricia Janečková, Tomáš Savka, Lukáš Vlček, Tomáš Novotný and others, directed by Gabriela Petráková and in an attractive set by scenographer Ondřej Zicha, using scenic elements from selected productions. For example, songs from the show West Side Story will be heard.

Karel Reisz, Ten filmový život
"Good Morning, My Dear," "Farmers," "It Didn't Hurt," "Yum," "The Pilot," and many others. The unique and original musician and singer David Stypka from Dobrá near Frýdek-Místek wrote many powerful and hit songs. Exactly two years after his death, Stypka's hits were performed in the Gong multifunctional hall in Ostrava in orchestral arrangements by Jan Lstibůrek, performed by the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava, conducted by Stanislav Vavřínek, and the band Bandjeez. Stypka's closest musical companions – Ewa Farna, Mirai Navrátil, and Kateřina Marie Tichá – took turns at the microphone. They also performed a joint rendition of Stypka's hit "Kříž" at the end of the concert, following up on their legendary performance at the Czech Music Academy Awards – Anděl in 2021.

Lenka Dusilová is an extraordinary figure in the Czech music scene: an original composer, multi-instrumentalist, and unmistakable voice with over two decades of a distinguished solo career. Emerging as a wild rocker in early ’90s bands (Sluníčko, Lucie, Pusa), she gained widespread acclaim with her debut solo album “Lenka Dusilová” (2000), earning the first of many Singer of the Year awards. Brave and unpaved, she then charted her own path as an interpreter of her own songs, releasing solo albums such as “Spatřit světlo světa” (2002) and “Mezi světy” (2005). Over the years, Dusilová delved ever deeper into a unique personal expression, blending influences from diverse styles and life experiences on albums like “Eternal Seekers” (2008), “Baromantika” (2011), and “V hodině smrti” (2014).
