A little frog jumps out of the pond and wants to see the world. He is excited about new discoveries, not yet knowing about the danger of the stork. He almost gets eaten by the stork, but the frog saves himself at the last minute.

The animator uses expressionistic drawings for a filmic adaptation of Robert Schumann’s delightful and famous piece Dreaming, the composer’s well-known piece from Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood).

Simple artistic structures, including dots and moving lines, create a story.

This short film is an animated interpretation of the Suite No. 4 by the music ensemble Bayon, which was founded in East Germany in 1971. Bayon’s music is a unique combination of Khmer pentatonic music with elements of classical, jazz and rock.

A film poster advertises 100 years of cinema in 1995. When cracks open in the wall, typical characteristics of Charlie Chaplin spring out and combine themselves to make a portrait of the famous film artist.

A little elephant playing soccer with a coconut in the desert is told that his nut has rolled to the ends of the earth. He immediately sets off to look for it. On the way, he meets other animal children who want to help him. They all realize that the end of each animal's life does not mean the end of the world. So the journey becomes longer and longer, the group of wanderers larger and larger, and finally, to the elephant's astonishment, the animals return to the starting point of the journey. And because they want to test their discovery that the earth is round like a coconut once again, they march around the equator once more.

The little, prickly hegdehog is very sad. Nobody wants to dance with him because of his prickly spikes. So he decides to go to the hairdresser and get a curly hairdo. Although he looks very pretty, he is not able to protect himself. When the fox tries to catch him, his friends save him.

This short animation film, which is part of the series Musikalische Arabesken (Musical Arabesks), is a colorful and expressionistic interpretation of Antonin Dvorák’s Humoresque played in a modern version by the Jo Kurzweg Orchestra.
