Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

After her father's death, Pollyanna is sent to live with her rich and authoritative aunt, Pollyanna now has to adapt to a new life by playing the glad game and venturing into new experiences

Laura is surprised one night with the news that her younger sister Katherine, who disappeared at age 7, has been found. More than 11 years have passed since the tragic event. Her parents died uncertain whether their daughter was alive or not. Now, Laura must cope alone with this reunion and with all of Katherine's scars.
