Ye Aung

The story revolves around the life of Mi, a free-spirited young woman in the very conservative 1940's Burmese society, and her many lovers. She drinks. She smokes. She thinks you're a joke. She's also traumatized, insecure, and very tired in life. She's like a butterfly ... a butterfly pinned to a cardboard. Will she risk tearing her delicate wings to free herself?

The film follows a young boy from Inlay Lake on his quest for knowledge of Myanmar traditions, culture and Buddhism with his grandfather telling him tale of the legends and myths from the past. Through this, we explore Myanmar’s National Treasures and uncover their ancient mysteries. We then revisited the ancient empire of Bagan. The establishment of the first Myanmar empire and how it has reinvigorated Buddhism throughout the region.

During her vacation at a mansion in Paungde, invited by U Min Khine, psychiatrist Dr. Thet Yi becomes intrigued by Mg Nyo Maing, a reclusive and mysterious man haunted by tales of an unseen figure named Ko Myint Wai.

Dr. Khin Maung Win reflects on his journey from a small-town police officer's son to becoming a well-respected physician, guided by the unwavering devotion of his mother, Daw Khin Khin, whose sacrifices and love shaped his path.
