In a village in the Ardennes, during the German occupation, finding rations is becoming almost impossible. Clovis, an ordinary labourer, decides to cross the occupied zone to bring back enough potatoes to feed his family. His plan is a success but Clovis rapidly becomes obsessed with storing the precious tubers.

Beaujolais Nouveau Is Arrived, directed by Jean-Luc Voulfow in 1978, is a comedy inspired by the novel by René Fallet that depicts an incredible adventure set against a backdrop of French rurality and popular friendship. The film tells the story of Camadule, an enigmatic and endearing character, respected in his small café "Chez Gaston", where he shares anecdotes and mysteries. One day, his friends entrust him with the sacred mission of fetching several barrels of Beaujolais Nouveau, supposedly belonging to an old countess with whom he is favored. To accomplish this quest, he is joined by the Captain, a former soldier disillusioned by life and its failures, and Kamel, an immigrant worker, all driven by the hope of the new wine and the dream of a collective adventure.

Based on Alfredy Jarrry's 1896 play about a greedy, overweight, selfish dude named Pere Ubu. The story follows Ubu on his journey to overthrow the current ruler and become King of Poland. Along the way he betrays many of his followers, taxes the civilians to an unreasonable degree and eventually slaughters everyone. Along his side, is the equally crude but somehow more likable Mere Ubu, who's like a foul mouthed Lady Macbeth.

Gabriel Axel's penetrating study of the aftermath of a crime. Bernard and Catherine lead a quiet life in retirement, enjoying their occasional sorties to the theatre or the cinema. One night, coming home on the Metro, they are jostled and jeered by a group of young hooligans who follow them out on to the street. Catherine dies. And Bernard, left alone, begins to question all the values he had previously taken for granted.
