Biography

Theodore Schaefer is a New York-based filmmaker. His directorial debut, GIVING BIRTH TO A BUTTERFLY, was accepted to the Champs-Élysées film festival’s U.S. in Progress and premiered at the 25th Fantasia International Film Festival 2021. Through his work at Dweck Productions, Theodore executive produced WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR, which premiered at Sundance 2021 and is being released by Utopia and HBO MAX. He began his career working as a first assistant director on independent features including HOW HE FELL IN LOVE and FRAMING JOHN DELOREAN, before joining Dweck Productions in 2018.
