Biography
Caroline Gaio directed, wrote, and produced the documentary short film “Who Trains My Hands To War” (2026). She is the director, screenwriter, and executive producer of the music video “Loiro Pivete” (2024), funded by the Paulo Gustavo Law, selected for the Festival de Cinema Paranapiacaba (2025) and the 15ª Mostra Curta (2025). She participated in the “Roteiros do Arrebalde” lab in 2024 with the script for “Lá na Vila”. She is the director and screenwriter of the fashion film "Metamorfose Ambulante", nominated for the Best Web Advertising award at Rio WebFest, in 2021. She teaches Film Direction at COART (UERJ) and is a founding partner of the production company Filme de Roupa.

Directly impacted by the 2017 UERJ strike, Rita, a Visual Arts student from Pernambuco, is torn between farewells from the ties she created in Rio and the fixation of rescuing her last academic-artistic work that is locked in a university room.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Solange and Gustavo, mother and son, lose a family member to the virus. As they deal with grief and face this new reality, the relationship between the two shudders and wounds are reopened, leading them to question which of them was responsible for bringing the virus into their home.
