A major traffic jam throws thousands of citizens on the outskirts of Madrid into chaos, disrupting their plans. This everyday situation will be the starting point for unexpected, comical, and emotional plots.

Manuela is a young woman who lives in a cabin where she studies the Andalusian wetlands. Her life revolves around watching birds. A few kilometres away, Alba lives completely neglected, a seven-year-old girl whose mother, Yolanda, works at night.

Violeta is in her early twenties and is doomed to spend the summer in Madrid doing an internship in a publishing house. During those weeks, she will make new friends, and she will make decisions, some good, some bad. And, above all, she will learn that failure is more an art than a tragedy.

Sister Ada's life is turned upside down when she is caught in the convent secretly reading about the lives of movie stars. After being entrusted with one last evangelizing mission in El Retiro, a gay cruising area where hundreds of strangers roam in search of sneaky sex, Ada will try to resume her acting career in a city where she has lost almost all her ties, so she decides to flee to New York where she will try to rediscover her faith.
