The musicians are Latvians who live in Latvia, but they reap profits in Russia. Brainstorm has experienced the most interesting and intense period of modern European history. This period has also been a dramatic time for the band itself.

Albert is an old man who lives in a house surrounded by the forest. Since the death of his wife, he spends his days in solitude. Driven by loneliness, despair and a longing for his deceased wife, Albert agrees to participate in a spiritual séance, just to be with her one last time. The séance fails; however, it triggers a chain of surreal events that give him hope of regaining that which seemed lost forever. Unfortunately, these events happen only in Albert’s unconscious mind.

As the grandmother's rivalry escalates, Zoe wishes she hadn't bothered to ask them in the first place. The need for culturally identity clashes with the kneading of dough, and Zoe soon realizes how important both of her grandmothers are to her - and that sometimes the way into people's hearts is through their stomachs.

Lords of Riga allows to see an insight into a passionate subculture of bike couriers. Weaving their way through the urban traffic, they have become silent and sometimes unnoticed witnesses of everyday life in Riga as well as examples of our modern-day society. What is freedom to this bunch of rebellious messengers and where it ends?
