Where the land ends and the sea begins, two bodies lose themselves. Suspended in their memory, they weave a desolate dance, made of silent defiance the inheritance of a shared mourning. At the threshold of the invisible world, time ceases to exist. The dance becomes a passage, an intertwining of gestures that binds as much as it frees.
Naval Ode embodies the movement of separation between dock and the ship, between the inside and the outside, between one and the other. This mysterious and suspended dance is imbued with nostalgic desire and swells like a sail.
Mass is a dance filmed in a sequence shot, including forty amateur dancers. Crowd images are more and more recurrent and symbolize the current upheavals, evoking in turn festivals, migrations, demonstrations, gatherings or even the daily life of metropolises. So we work on the mass, with all the intoxication it can inspire. We confront the individual with crowd movements, in order to observe the way in which he resists or allows himself to be immersed.
The film immerses us in an evocative dance of bodies communicating in the vast placenta of our atmosphere. This visually stunning film explores movement, connection, and the mystery of the self in motion.
