Based on the novel of the same name by Fyodor Dostoevsky. A penniless girl marries a pawnbroker. The spouses do not understand each other because of the difference in age and social status.

One day, a modest accountant, a resident of a seaside town, adopted a dog. The dog became attached to its lonely owner, but it soon became clear that the dog had been trained by its previous owner to steal things from unwary beachgoers. An honest man, yelled at the dog, but then came to terms with his friend’s shortcomings, and even began to encourage his dubious abilities.

The story of the robbery, betrayal, and death of Arsena Odzelashvili, a famous robber, protector and supporter of the poor, based on a folk poem.

Hypnotist and magician David Cheishvili, trying to rescue his son from a petty criminal history, makes some concession to the investigator and helps to get the coveted signature in the testimony of a certain defendant. The hypnotist's abilities are put into use. The trick succeeds and the victim signs under the testimony, but the rules of the game are violated by the investigator himself.

The children have decided to discover the sunken city. The children are helped in their search by the gardener Ermile, who has a number of things and paintings in his house that confirm the existence of the sunken city, removed from the bottom of the sea.
