Biography
Juan Recuero (Montevideo, 2001), also known as Jo M. Brennan, is currently studying at the ECU institute ("Escuela de Cine del Uruguay," "School of Cinema from Uruguay"). They directed their debut short in 2020, "Frontman," starring vocalist and guitarist Sebastián Ulivi, lead of the band "La Otra Cara." Afterward, they'd direct the short "Dialéctica" in 2021, starring Fabricio Berti. His latest, "Invierno Tardío," finds recognized actress Mirella Pascual ("Whisky," "El Perro Que no Calla," "La Noche de los 12 Años") in the role of a grandmother waiting for her grandson. Juan Recuero is also a photographer, taking stills for the School of Cinema from Uruguay "ECU."
