Three sisters, Barbara, Theodora, and Kiki, have inherited an old mansion from their father, but they cannot sell it unless they first find a husband for their fourth sister, Filio, who is both deaf and dumb. Two suitors reject her immediately and she rejects the third suitor, but falls in love with the fourth, a diplomat who turns out to be a fraud.
