Known For

Dormant Soil / Concrete Reflections is the answer to a poem by Kim Hyesoon entitled “Haeundae Texas Queen Kong”. Produced at the start of the pandemic, Zai and Rei explore the personal effects and thematic resonance of the poem as they travel around their neighborhood.
Dormant Soil/Concrete Reflections

Both a prescient and timely artistic documentary. Filmed solo, it spans multiple sites across the world to form a polyvocal, mythopoetic film about the censorship of books, destruction of libraries, assaults on knowledge and free press, and the loss of languages in embattled communities. Like leaves of an enduring tree, the voices of multiple people and their actions demonstrate the persistent value and power of books, archives, shadow and pirate libraries as vehicles of resistance.
Talking Leaves
Escape Velocity II is an experiential experiment that brings the wild ethereal voices of Singaporeans to life through animation and sound visualisation. The film seeks to bridge human and non-human worlds.
Escape Velocity II

Slowed down field recordings of wildlife from places under threat by development are the foundation of this visual soundscape.
