Nineteen-year-old Kakia, the only daughter of a strict colonel and commander of a mountain commando unit, Vasilis Georgiou, runs away from home and heads for Athens. On the way, she meets six soldiers transporting supplies. They take her with them, without realizing that she is their commander's daughter. One of them, Sergeant Kostas Karagiannis, with marching orders for the capital, flirts with her, but she prefers the sergeant and driver of the car, Andreas Loidis, who responds fully and even proposes that she become his wife. Their plans to claim their happiness are overturned once and for all when Lola's protectors rape Maria, who dies shortly afterwards in hospital. Christos takes his own life and Lola kills the man responsible for the girl's death.
