Paris, 1980s. The very first concept store in Europe dedicated to hip-hop, Ticaret was simultaneously a laboratory for a new style, a meeting place, and a factory of myths. The unlikely duo at its helm—Daniel Fourneuf, an electrician with a passion for dance and music, and Françoise Hautot, a fitting model and fashion designer—imported hip-hop clothing, accessories, and albums from the United States.
