A waiter who sings gets in a fight with rude customers and overpowers them. A boxing promoter sees this and transforms him into "Kid Nightingale," marketing him as a boxer who sings.

Teenagers are urged to use common sense in choosing the types of friends they have in this classroom training film. It shows the behavior of various teenagers at a party, and viewers are asked to choose which of the teens they think would make a good friend and which ones wouldn't.

This 1947 Columbia short, part of their Two-Reel Special series, tells the story of the Hungarian tenor, Miklos Gafni, who learned to sing while being confined in a Nazi slave-labor/concentration camp during World War II, and who had just made a successful New York City concert-hall debut. Mr. Gafni sings "The Return to Sorrento," "Vesti la Guiba," and an Hungarian love song. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Short Subject, Two-Reel.
