Biography
Yuka Sato is a Japanese filmmaker based in Tokyo. She has created five short films since 2014. Her films focus on the life of women and have been shown inside and outside of Japan at venues such as the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the International Short Film Festival of Oberhausen and many others. She began curating films in 2019. Her curated collections include the Place M Film Festival (2019 and 2021, Tokyo), and dv_vd: Crossing Boundaries Between Photo and Film (2021, Montreal). In 2021 she held a solo photo exhibition of her work "Birthday", and she continues to search for the boundary between photography and film. Distribution by Vidéographe.
