Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

Osip Dymov, the titular counselor and the doctor of thirty one years, serves in two hospitals at the same time: intern and anatomist. From nine o'clock in the morning and in the forenoon accepts patients, then goes to open corpses. But its income is hardly enough for a covering of expenses of the wife mad about talents and celebrities in the art and artistic environment whom it daily accepts in the house.

The heroines of the film are Soviet basketball players who take part in international competitions for the Hera Cup. Exciting basketball matches, the nobility of a Soviet athlete who saved the life of a Greek basketball player, the anxiety of first love-all these and other events make up the plot of the film.

1918 year. A woman commissar has been appointed from the Central Committee of the Bolshevik Party to the Russian warship Gromoboi, which is ruled by anarchist sailors. The leader of the ship is the anarchist Vozhak. The Commissioner was instructed to reorganize the naval detachment into the First Sailor Regiment. She faces a difficult task: to win the authority of the sailors and eradicate anarchy. Of the remaining officers on the ship — lieutenant Bering, who served in the tsarist fleet on the battleship "Emperor Paul I". In 1942, local teenagers are organizing the underground resistance in the city of Krasnodon during the Nazi occupation of Russia. The teens manage to outsmart the Nazis in their fight, and their activity lifts the spirits of the surviving citizens.

A test film for black-and-white television, made by Mosfilm in 1967. A girl dreaming to be in movies got a call from Mosfilm, asking her to be filmed. She enters the dreamy bubble that is called filmmaking. The film was commissioned by the Research Film and Photo Institute. It features famous actors and directors, including Georgy Vitsin, Georgy Georgiu, Pavel Vinnik, Grigory Alexandrov and others. Some of them play themselves.
