Edmondo Mario Alberto De Amicis, known as Edmondo de Amicis or Edmundo de Amicis, was an Italian writer, novelist, journalist, and author of travel books. He is best remembered for his 1886 novel Cuore, translated into English as Heart.

But she more or less feels the young bad boy's love is true and when this one is lying on his dying bed, after being stabbed by the other students, she solaces him by kissing him tenderly.
