The provincial bandit of Vorkuta lived under the motto "We are not like that ― life is like that," but in 1999 the dashing 90s ended, and he received a sentence. In prison, he lost sleep, and after a couple of weeks of insomnia, he saw his conscience in the form of a man who said that as long as he was bad, he would not sleep.
An ordinary provincial family huddles in a small apartment with carpets on the walls. The head of the family is forced to save on everything in order to feed his wife, son and nephew. Therefore, the appearance of a "Maybach" in the next of kin is an extraordinary event. However, the righteous desire to give relatives a ride in a premium car does not end well: the car ends up in the river, and the grief-stricken family is in debt to the main city bandit, whom even the local police are afraid of.
The sought-after and spoiled actor Slava loses everything at once - contracts, popularity, good relations with his family. However, the protagonist does not give up and, together with his agent, comes up with a dangerous adventure - to bury himself alive in order to resurrect his career and start from scratch.
