Zoop was an award-winning Dutch youth-oriented TV soap opera about eight young adults working in the Ouwehands Dierenpark zoo in Rhenen. The series was sold to Brazil, France, India and Sweden. The series has had three seasons since 2004, all on the Dutch Nickelodeon channel. The series also spawned three spinoff films. Episodes continued to be broadcast up until 2013. Director Johan Nijenhuis has said that there will be no more episodes or movies produced.

This is the life of Kees Heistee. Kees is married to the charming, good-natured Ben, and together they have two children: their daughter Anne, a nightmare for any mother, and their son Rudie, who has a taste for the morbid. Two best friends hide in a luxury department store after closing time to write a school report at night. Serious Renske wants to start the report right away, while popular Eva has completely different plans. The rangers leap from one adventure into the next: they have to prove themselves as tango dancers and football stars, brave wild rivers and towering mountains, and face off against bulls, crocodiles, piranhas, and venomous spiders. Along the way, they meet a monkey who falls head over heels in love with Moes — and turns out to be guarding a secret map that just might help the rangers complete their mission…
