Biography
Zoie Nagelhout is a Production & Development Executive at Marvel Studios. She began her academic and extracurricular journey at Chadwick High School, where she was Captain of the Equestrian Team from 2010 to 2011 and contributed to Soundings, the school's student-run poetry and visual arts magazine, as a staff member from 2007 to 2011. She went on to attend the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Studies from the School of Cinematic Arts in 2015 with Magna Cum Laude honours. During her time at USC, she served as Captain of the university's Equestrian Team. While still in school, Zoie immersed herself in hands-on industry experience. She volunteered as a production assistant for the independent mockumentary Ultimate, Ultimate, directed by Jack Henry Robbins, in the summer of 2012. In this role, she contributed to location scouting, audition coordination, and logistics for production meetings, helping to streamline the film's creative process. In 2013, she expanded her media expertise as a television critic for UK Screen. She worked full-time as a production intern for Disney Junior and ABC Family's short-form production. Simultaneously, she represented ABC on USC's campus from 2013 to 2014, helping introduce new content through screenings and marketing events. In 2014, Zoie gained experience in content delivery and rights management as a Digital Distribution Intern at Lionsgate. She soon transitioned to Marvel Studios, where her career rapidly evolved. She joined in 2015 as a TV Marketing and Promotions Intern and later became a Production Assistant that same year. From 2016 to 2017, she worked as the assistant to executive producer Nate Moore, supporting major studio projects. Her talents and leadership quickly propelled her up the ranks: she was promoted to Production and Development Manager in March 2017 and then to Senior Production and Development Manager in November 2018. By March 2019, she became Director of Production & Development, a role she held until August 2021, when she was promoted to Vice President of Production & Development.
