Retired porn star Milos leads a normal family life trying to make ends meet. At the beginning of the 1990s the state of Yugoslavia collapsed, and resistance to the madness of war was strongest in Belgrade, where anti-war actions and movements opposing the Serbian nationalist regime brought together intellectuals, artists, and anti-regime individuals—most notably in a nonpartisan group called the Belgrade Circle. This is a documentary film that portrays the struggle to keep alive the fight for truth and dignity by bravely confronting the crimes committed in the name of the nation.

The Price of Desire

The plot of this film can be viewed from a two different levels. The first is universal and deals with the psychological theme of need for competition in the group, highlighting the need for the victory, which in life usually does not depend on the true virtues of the winner, so the result is usually tragicomic. The story talks about the choice of the most noble work. Selected participants arrive at the guesthouse on the border between Croatia and Serbia to prepare for the final act of the competition and the jury's decision. Seven competitors have a rather narrow view of the world. Even when the big events, such as ethnic conflicts in this part of the Balkans, the contestants insist to proceed the competition and to choose the hero of heroes, even though the very idea of competition has become anachronistic under the pressure of current events (the anger of the local Serbian population of the newly established Croatian authorities).

"Life of a Mutt" tells true, intimate and authentic stories from the perspective of stray dogs. Combining documentary material with hand drawn animation and voice over, we are crossing between genres and forms of documentary, fiction and animation, giving our silent heroes a voice. The inspiration comes from ancient Indian, Russian, British stories. Combining seven scenes into one life story - from birth to birth again, we witness their dignifying fight for survival, while also touching upon existential questions, such as the marginalized groups, nature and the environment, and highlighting esteemed values such as love, friendship and trust.

Hailing from an old bourgeois family, actor Ljubivoje Tadić actively participated in the street protests of the 2000s. Having successfully completed his little revolution, feeling like a winner of history, Ljubivoje was also active as a deputy for a while. Twenty years later, Ljubivoje lives on the 1st floor of the “Excelsior” hotel in Belgrade, a few months after his apartment burned down.
