Virginia and Ana are married, and together with Gonzalo, their son, they live a quiet life in a coastal city. Martín, Ana's brother, visits the family for a while. Suddenly, a loss will shake the tranquility of everyday life, and a dispute that goes beyond family ties will begin, thus demonstrating personal needs: how to cover an absence.

In 1997, in a small town in Buenos Aires, Emilio´s 16 years old lifeless body, was found next to the train tracks with severe blows, cuts and signs of asphyxiation. The judiciary, politicians and the police try to close the case, but social pressure persists.
