Alyssa, a rebellious 19 year-old girl, and her friend Mehdi — a shy and introverted 23-year-old young man — who use their imagination to escape their unpromising reality. When they discover a contest in the south of Tunisia that may allow them to flee for real, they decide to undertake the road trip regardless of the obstacles in their way.

During the 1990 World Cup, two young Palestinian boys are on a quest for “Maradona’s legs”; the last missing sticker that they need in order to complete their world cup album and win a free Atari.

Despite being part of a young generation of Palestinian Arabs whose families chose to stay and challenge the Israeli state after Al-Nakba, 17-year-old Tamer and his friends are just like any other group of teenage boys. They clumsily search for drugs, flirt with girls, play video games, and slack off at school. However, when a beautiful new student named Maysaa’ joins their class Tamer immediately falls for her and, by association, is drawn into her political activism. Together they join fellow classmate, Safwat, in an operation to covertly raise the Palestinian flag and peacefully disrupt the local celebrations planned for Israel’s Independence Day – otherwise known to Palestinians as a day of mourning and memorialization for their displacement 70 years prior. Unsure of his own political convictions, Tamer must quickly determine what matters to him and what price he is willing to pay for freedom.

How does an image come to life? How does human imagination develop? Razi loves stories. His favorite is "The Monster." He keeps asking his father to tell him that story over and over again. Every time his father tells it, Razi lets himself be swept away by his two-year-old imagination, experiencing the developments and details as if he had never heard it before. The story so dearly loved by Razi is ancient, but it must be listened to again and again, especially for a Palestinian child.

Nizar is an introverted alter boy and a social outcast. During this years' Easter, Nizar decides to compete with the village children in the 'breaking eggs' games. His goal is to collect as many eggs as possible in order to sacrifice them in the village church for the sake of his beloved Jesus. Nizar's egg is 'Mashmaa' (a fake egg that is hardened by wax). Only he and Jesus know this fact. The danger of getting caught is very much imminent. Nizar manages to collect many eggs and to gain respect from the village children, until finally he is caught. It would be the first time Nizar questions his faith.
