Tatyana Viktorovna Gizatullina is an English teacher from the city of Bugulma, where everything seems to be forever stuck between the past and the future. After a series of failures, she desperately turns to space with a request for a miracle - and suddenly the news spreads around the city: the first Bugulma cosmonaut Sergey Lysov, her classmate, is returning home after 25 years. This event sets off a chain of incredible changes in the life of Tatyana and the entire school.

The first century of one of the most famous Moscow scenes has come to its logical conclusion. Now the theater is looking into the future, into a new century, but what does it see there? The story is about two aliens who came to Earth in search of their friend William, locked in the lantern of a security guard of a local recreation center.

Their only way out is to pay the policemen off, and they embark on a mission of getting the cash - borrowing, begging, doing whatever they can. And they only have several hours to come up with the cash.

A new life begins for the girl in agonizing anticipation of meetings accompanied by the sound of the wheels of passing trains.
