The series follows the residents of an apartment building on Copenhagen's Christianshavn, as they go about their daily lives and challenges. There is Olsen, a mover with an old fashion view of the world, Clausen who runs the local pet shop, Egon the career focused assistant, their wives who work hard to keep their spouses lives together, the young couple Tue and Rikke who recently moved in, the hard working caretaker Meyer, who never puts in to much effort, and of course Emma, the innkeeper of Rottehullet, where all the important decisions are made while running up the bar tab. The series was produced by Nordisk Film for Danmarks Radio TV station between the years 1970-77. The series' first director was Ebbe Langberg, then Erik Balling and Tom Hedegaard respectively. The series was conceived by an author team of well-known Danish authors such Leif Panduro, Benny Andersen, and Lise Nørgaard.
In 1970s Denmark, the criminal police in a provincial town solve different criminal cases, when the police was dominated by men and DNA was not yet a tool in investigation.

An uptight young man and his equally uptight family moves next door to a hedonistic clan, including the beautiful, sexy Topsy, who charms the new neighbor boy Tom. But Tom discovers that the price of loving Topsy may be higher than he's willing to pay -- she insists on absolute honesty and a life and love without possession or exclusivity.
Taking place on a small villa road: The two neighbors Gormsen and Sandelund have been at a dispute for years and this evolves into an all out war. Sandelund is a wholesale dealer in meet, a capitalist and has one of this modem houses with a flat roof. Gormsen is a dentist, and a communist, he has a new wife that are younger then his son, and lives in one of these old-fashioned half-timbered houses. A third factor is the merchant Krause. To begin with he is a small time grocer and progresses into the end, a big time businessman. He is a deeply religious man, a good Christian, and member of the parochial church council. There children, (teenagers) find their conflict silly and stupid.

In October 1943, the agreement was broken... This is the true and magnificent saga of Denmark's valorous actions to save Danish Jews from Nazi extermination at peril of death!
A gentle comedy offering the promise of easy social consensus. Harry (Helmuth) is a simple old-time shop porter offered a chance at self-realisation when he's bequeathed a sum by an unknown relative (via several levels of fiscal blood suckers). He decides to engage a butler to take good care of him for a time. This is a man of distinguished upper class service, but a generous nature which happily integrates with Harry's small but colourful world of drinking buddies and crackpot neighbourhood kids.
It shows the life of a man who lost his memory after a car accident. It's like a person is being reborn. But the new life does not bring happiness to the hero. Well-mannered, with good manners, he asks his friend, "What kind of person was I?" And gets an answer: "You were a heavy drinker." All the hero's attempts to establish contact with the world around him end in failure, and the final scene is very dramatic.
A motley crew must spend the night at a small, remote railway station. Strange occurrences and old stories about a ghost train that is supposed to pass through the station do not exactly contribute to a cozy atmosphere. However, the haunting turns out to be a ruse covering up smuggling activities, and one of the travelers turns out to be a detective on the trail of the smugglers. Based on the 1923 play The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley.
Based on Leif Panduro's 1958 satire classic. David, a senior high-school student, aims a swift kick at his principal's behind and is committed to a psychiatric ward from the perspective of which he takes a close look at his allegedly sane family. They, of course, are the real loonies. The psychiatrists are worse. Only lovely class-mate Lis is down-to-earth and trustworthy.

Two men meet by incident on a ferry, and they happen to continue the journey to Copenhagen by the same car in the night. In an intense and silent struggle for power, the driving turns out hazardously and with an ending open for interpretation.
In the vicinity of Copenhagen, a group of pensioners live in a very large villa. The owner, Doctor Bach, has invited a colleague, the young master Peter Park , to visit him. They have a common interest that they could discuss during his stay. When he arrives, it is at a most inconvenient time. He is greeted by the doctor's sister, the almost deaf Camilla, who does not understand much of what is going on around her. The doctor has completely forgotten that he invited Park, but he settles him into the villa nonetheless. Here, Park meets the doctor's granddaughter, the young and beautiful Lise Bach (Henriette Normann), to whom he is immediately attracted. When Lise asks her grandfather if he is going out again, the doctor explains that he is going to the cinema with his good friend Friis.
A portrayal of two modern young men and their experiences of love. Jack, a sociology student, is in a relationship with Betty, who is somewhat older than him. It develops into a passionate love affair, but in the long run, the age difference and especially Betty's upper-class background weigh too heavily. Jack's friend, the cynical journalist Hugo, has casual relationships with several girls until he falls in love with the model Ruth. However, she returns to her husband, and when Hugo later has his face disfigured in a car accident, he ends up committing suicide. Before doing so, he tells Jack that he and several others have also had relationships with Betty.
Daniel owns a shoe factory. He is in his fifties, married to Elisa, has a son who studies psychology and a mother who is at a nursing home. But when he applies for a life insurance his life changes. Because he has to undergo a number of health examinations, and maybe he is not what the insurance people call "a good life".
Paul is a calm and sympathetic lawyer who senses from the outset that his wife Anne has found herself a boyfriend. But he doesn't say anything—not until she says something.
